Rethinking Society

Rethinking Society

A growing series of films, conversations, reflection tools, and online gatherings for people who want to question what we have accepted as normal and imagine societies built more consciously around human life, care, dignity, and the living world.

What if society were designed around human life, care, dignity, and the living world?

What it is

A question, not a finished answer

Rethinking Society begins with a simple question: what if the systems surrounding human life were designed to serve life, rather than asking life to serve them?

The project is taking shape as long-form episodes, short videos, discussion guides, worksheets, facilitator materials, online conversations, and — over time — gatherings and community resources.

Why it exists

Looking together at what we've inherited

Rethinking Society exists to examine the systems and assumptions we have inherited — economy, leadership, work, care, education, power, belonging, peace, technology, and the living world.

It does not tell people what they must think. It invites people to look together at what our systems produce, whose realities are missing, what has been accepted as inevitable, and what different choices could make possible.

What this project is not

Rethinking Society is not a political party, fixed ideology, or finished blueprint for a new world. It is a place for asking better questions, bringing more human realities into the room, and widening what we believe society can be.

A Country Is Not an Economy With People Attached to It

26:22 · 13 July 2026

Does the economy serve human life, or is human life being asked to serve the economy?

  • What is a country actually for?
  • Where are people missing from the way we measure success?
  • Can an economy grow while society quietly unravels?
  • What would we measure if health, dignity, time, care, belonging, and the living Earth came first?
  • What would we build differently if human life were placed back at the centre?

What happens when an economy becomes more important than the people it was created to serve? Episode 1 invites us to place human life back at the centre and rethink how we measure a successful society.
